Vietnam with an area of 330,000 sq. km is an intriguing and very friendly country with a young, dynamic population of 85 million. Over 90 % are Vietnamese with many ethnic groups living in the mountains.

Thailand known as the country of “smiling people,” with an area of 500,000 sq. km is about the size of Texas. The population is 65 million with about 7 million of those being of Chinese heritage.

Kingdom of Cambodia

Cambodia is about the size of Missouri and has a population of 15 million people. The predominant group are the Khmer followed by Chinese, Vietnamese and a few hill tribe groups. The country is 95% Buddhist.

Turkey with a population of 75 million is a very large country that straddles both Europe and Asia. It would take several lifetimes to explore. It is a country with tremendous historical significance, stretching back over many millennia.

Republic of India
India with about 1/3 rd the land area of the U.S., is second o­nly to China in population, with over 1 billion people. For thousands of years India was invaded from Iran, Central Asia, Afghanistan, Arabia and the West.

Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka

SriLanka which has the area of West Virginia, is o­ne of the most beautiful islands in the world. It has a population of 20 million people, the majority of whom are Buddhist. 75 % of the people are Sinhalese with Tamils and Muslims being the next largest minorities.
